What We Do

Quality library service is important to our community. The Friends of the Center Moriches Free Public Library Inc. (FOL) is a not-for-profit, charitable group of civic-minded neighbors formed to support the Center Moriches Library. FOL has provided many needed items for the library and conducted numerous library and community programs.  Whenever called, FOL is always here for our Library and its patrons.

Each year, FOL is super charged with activities and programs.  While always introducing new events throughout the year, FOL continues its many tried and true programs.  The Thrift Shelves are fully stocked and thoroughly enjoyed by all.  The three-day book sale in September is always a huge success year after year.  The numerous bus trips FOL has put together are a great source of adventure and enjoyment for many of its travelers.  The events of FOL Week in October are its way of saying “Thank You” to all the library patrons for their generosity throughout each year.  And the extra book sales, scholarship program, food drives, book club, puzzle shelf, raffles, Free Little Libraries, Library at the Laundromat, support of the 1000 Books Before Kindergarten program and 100 Books Before Graduation for teens are but a few of its programs and events all for the support of the library.

Watch for our program announcements on this website and in the Center Moriches Library newsletters throughout the year.  And please join us if you would like to become an active member of the FOL.
