*ATTENTION* – AARP Representatives are unable to provide tax assistance at the library this year (2022). A list of alternative tax preparation services is now available at https://centermoricheslibrary.org/resources/local-tax-preparers/. Please call the Reference Department at (631) 878-0940 Ext. 5 if you need further assistance.
Each year the library hosts AARP Foundation Tax-Aide, which offers free tax preparation help to anyone, though it is aimed at retirees and low- to moderate-income taxpayers. There’s no fee and no sales pitch for other services and AARP membership is not required. Local volunteers generously give their time to prepare and file patron tax returns. We typically start making appointments the Tuesday after Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. Give us a call to see if we can help you out!
